On Monday, August 8, The Major General Abu Bakr Hussein, Governor of Abyan Governorate met in the governorate’s general office, the Director General of the Legal Affairs Office in the governorate, lawyer Ali Rajeh, and the investor, Islam Ali Al-Sai’ari, the investor of Shaqra scale project, which is dedicated to weighing vehicles' excess loads of the specified weight, to determine fees for the excess weights.

During the meeting, the Governor reviewed what was agreed to with the investor, and the General Manager of Legal Affairs reviewed the agreement terms with the investor which included that the investor perform maintenance for the asphalt on the extending roads of Abyan governorate and provide the safety and security system, and ambulances along the roads, and the implementation of road rehabilitation and maintenance projects for which studies are being prepared by a specialized committee in the governorate that will be formed for this purpose, and to supply a specific percentage of the revenues from the overload fees to the governorate treasury, according to the law.

The governor of the governorate emphasized the importance of issuing a report defining the revenue collection mechanism and the supervising mechanism of the maintenance process, And implement the terms of the agreement that was made between the investor and the governorate and emphasized working according to law, and they agreed that work would be launched tomorrow, on Tuesday.

The meeting was attended by the Consultant of the Governor of Abyan for Investment and Development Affairs, Sheikh Abdel Nasser Al-Yazidi, the General Manager of the Office of the Governor of Abyan Suleiman Al-Wakud, The General Manager of the General Authority for Lands, Survey and Urban Planning, Engineer Aqeel Ahmed Aqeel, and the Deputy General Manager of the Governorate Information Office, Muhammad Saleh Abdul Rahman.
