The official spokesman for the Southern Transitional Council, a member of the Presidium, Mr. Ali Abdullah Al-Kathiri, confirmed that the valley and desert of Hadhramaut will soon be in the hands of its people, who are eager to liberate their land and manage their own affairs, indicating that Hadhramaut is going through a stage of labor for a safe and sound birth.
This came during the third periodic meeting of 2022 of the local leadership of the Southern Transitional Council in Hadhramaut Governorate, which was held under the slogan "Liberating the Valley is our priority."
In his speech, Al-Kathiri conveyed the greetings of President Commander Aidaroos Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Council, Supreme Commander of the Southern Armed Forces, and Major General Ahmed Saeed Bin Brik, Chairman of the National Assembly, urging them to unite and strengthen national cohesion, and confront the conspiracies of the enemies, who are trying to tear the social fabric and sow strife among the society.
He called on the members of the local leadership to assume their responsibilities and carry out their duties, in raising the political awareness of the masses, and exposing the lies of those forces, who know that the liberation of Hadhramaut will lose its interests and privileges, which it obtains in the name of the unity of the feud and looting.

Condemning the despicable methods practiced by those forces, led by the Muslim Brotherhood, to achieve its goals of maintaining subordination on Bab al-Yemen, pointing out that this organization has resorted to tickling citizens' emotions by adopting fake projects far from reality, and to incitement and spreading strife with the aim of tearing the social fabric.
Al-Kathiri pointed out that the will, determination and high awareness of our people are capable of confronting the destructive ideology of this group, which knows that its exit means its end, so it pursued a policy against me and my enemies.
Al-Kathiri said, "The pivotal moment that Hadhramaut is going through requires that its people, with all their tribal and intellectual affiliations, be in one barricade, to achieve their goal of sovereignty over their land and benefit from its wealth."
Pointing out that the Transitional Council has no reservations towards any southerner, regardless of his affiliation, and will not close the door of dialogue in the face of any individual or component.
He added, We say to those trying to mislead the world and the simple people of the governorate, with the aim of passing Bab Al-Yemen projects, that our people have made up their minds, and cannot allow a return to square one.
Stressing that restoring the southern state with its federal system, which grants everyone partnership and achieves balance for all its people in managing their governorates, is the realistic project sought by the people of Hadhramaut, who have spent their precious efforts to achieve it, and they will not allow anyone to hinder them from achieving it.

He added that Hadhramaut, which rejected the results of the invasion of 94, and was the pioneer in its resistance, and provided convoys of martyrs and wounded in the epics of the peaceful revolutionary movement, will be the locomotive for the project of the southern state.
Al-Kathiri paid tribute to the brothers in the Arab coalition, who helped our people get rid of the Houthi occupation and combat terrorism.
Reaffirming the Council's adherence to the decisions of the Riyadh initiative and consultations, and its commitment to confronting the threats to Arab national security represented by Iran's Houthi arm and transnational terrorist groups.
Al-Kathiri pointed out that we and the brothers in Yemen, our cause and our enemy are one, which is the Houthis, and we are committed to helping them liberate their land.
"We say it without equivocation that the south has owned its decision, but we are committed to the brothers in the Arab coalition with the agreements they sponsored, which aim to mobilize efforts to confront the Houthi militias, and to provide services to the liberated governorates," he said.
He expressed his regret over the procrastination of some Yemeni forces in implementing these agreements, their failure to confront the Houthi, and their shifting the compass of confrontation towards the south.
