Today, at the ministry's office in the temporary capital, Aden, Hani Wahab, Deputy Minister of Finance, discussed with Pragma Company the implementation of the treasury system and the unified government account for all government bank accounts, in order to ensure the optimal use of government cash resources and enhance oversight and transparency.
The meeting comes as part of the joint cooperation program between the Ministry of Finance and the United States Agency for Development (USAid), to build capacity, train the ministry’s cadres, and implement the automated financial and accounting system in public financial management, in addition to linking the Ministry of Finance with the Central Bank and having its control over expenditures and cash flows.
The meeting was attended by Omar Al-Abd, Advisor to the Minister, Khaled Al-Yarimi, Undersecretary of the Organization and Government Account Sector, and Mukhtar Al-Shuraihi, Undersecretary of the Budget Sector.
