To: The Organizers of the Geneva Conference for Yemeni Tribes - Respected

Subject: Official Objection from the Tribes of Southern Arabia to Our Representation at the Geneva Conference

Respected, Greetings, and After:

We, in the General Union of the Tribes of Southern Arabia, have followed the invitations and ongoing preparations to hold the so-called "Geneva Conference for Yemeni Tribes," and from the standpoint of our historical, tribal, and societal responsibility before our tribes from Al-Mahra to Bab al-Mandab, we would like to clarify the following:

First:* We express our categorical objection and total rejection of any attempt to represent the tribes of Southern Arabia in this conference or to speak in its name or to impersonate its capacity, and that any outputs or decisions issued by this conference do not concern the tribes of Southern Arabia and do not bind them neither closely nor remotely.

Secondly:* The tribes of Southern Arabia are an independent entity with its identity, history, and geography, and have its political and social specificity, and cannot be merged or represented within the name of "Yemeni Tribes" in a framework that abolishes the cause of the people of the South and its right to restore its state.

Thirdly:* We affirm to the world that the tribes of Southern Arabia have their own document which is the "Document of the Tribal and Societal Covenant," which is the comprehensive and unified document signed by all the tribes of the South from Al-Mahra to Bab al-Mandab, and stipulates ending vendettas, unifying ranks, combating terrorism and drugs, and standing with security and stability.

Fourthly:* The legitimate and sole representative of the tribes of Southern Arabia domestically and abroad is the "General Union of the Tribes of Southern Arabia" and it is the entity authorized to speak on behalf of the tribes of the South and to sign on its behalf in any regional or international forums.

Accordingly, we demand that you respect the will of the tribes of Southern Arabia and not drag its name into conferences that do not represent it, and we hold you full responsibility for any impersonation of our tribes' capacity.

And accept our utmost respect and appreciation.
