President Commander Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council, Vice President of the Presidential Leadership Council, chaired, at the Presidential Palace in Ma’ashiq, this morning, Sunday, September 18, an extraordinary meeting of the Council of Ministers.
The meeting, which was attended by Prime Minister Dr. Maeen Abdul-Malik Saeed, was devoted to discussing a number of urgent issues, foremost of which is activating the work of ministries and opening their headquarters in the capital, Aden, to carry out the tasks entrusted to them towards citizens, and ways and mechanisms to double their budgets and provide them with trained youth cadres.
President Commander Aidarous Al-Zubaidi stressed the speedy opening of the ministries' headquarters in the capital, Aden, and that all government ministers carry out their tasks from the main headquarters of their ministries, stressing that work from outside the capital, Aden, is no longer acceptable.
President Al-Zubaidi also called on the government to make more efforts to improve the performance of ministries, activate their activities, enhance functional discipline in them, rehabilitate the facilities affiliated with each ministry and make the most benefits of them, and provide them with trained youth cadres capable of keeping pace with developments in various fields.
During the extraordinary meeting, the ministries' budgets were discussed, and ways of enhancing and doubling them, to enable the ministries to perform their tasks at the required level.
After that, President Al-Zubaidi heard from the Prime Minister, the ministers and their deputies, the total difficulties facing their work, the efforts made to overcome the obstacles, and a number of opinions and proposals to activate and intensify the activity of the ministries to improve the economic and service conditions in the capital, Aden, in particular, and the liberated governorates in general.
