Mr. Hassan Ghaythan Al-Kazmi, the head of the executive body of the local leadership of the Transitional Council in Abyan Governorate, was briefed on Thursday on the activities of Mada and Al-Istiqlal social associations.

During the meeting, which was attended by Mohamed Al-Amoud, a member of the National Assembly, and Ali Sheikh Al-Souri, the Deputy Head of the executive body, Mr. Ghaythan learned about the nature of the work carried out by the two associations in the humanitarian and social aspects.

Ghaythan praised the tremendous efforts made by the two associations in providing community services that contribute to raising awareness and advancing society, and enhance their social presence. He called for the necessity of strengthening cooperation and joint coordination with the Social Affairs Administration of the transitional governorate in order to facilitate the targeting of associations and civil society organizations in relief work and humanitarian aid by the Transitional Council.
