The General Secretariat of the Transitional Council Discusses the Political and Economic Situation Reports in the South

On Monday, the General Secretariat of the Southern Transitional Council held its regular meeting at its headquarters in the capital, Aden, chaired by Major General Kamal Hamshari, member of the Presidency, Acting Secretary-General of the General Secretariat.

The meeting discussed the annual report submitted by the Organizational Department on the performance of the executive bodies in the governorates and university coordinators for the year 2024, highlighting the main activities carried out by the bodies in the governorates, their districts, and the executive bodies of university coordinators in various fields of specialization, in addition to the difficulties they faced during the implementation of activities.

The meeting reviewed the report submitted by the Political Department, which included the latest political developments on the southern national and regional scene related to the cause of the people of the south during the second half of last January. Among the highlights were the visit of President Commander Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi to Switzerland and the meetings he held with state leaders, in addition to the significance of the decision by former US President Donald Trump regarding the designation of the Houthi group as a terrorist organization and its impact on the region.

The meeting also addressed the report submitted by the Economic and Service Department on the economic and service landscape on the southern national scene during last January. The report reviewed the conditions of Aden Port and several other economic and service files across all southern governorates.

The meeting reviewed the organizational report on developing and improving the performance of the General Secretariat's departments for January of this year. In this context, some measures and recommendations were taken to enhance fieldwork and raise the organizational performance level of the council.
