The Presidency of the Transitional Council renews its support for the local authority in Shabwa and its condemnation of the armed rebellion in the governorate

The Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council held its regular meeting this morning, headed by The President Commander Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, Chairman of the Council
At the beginning of the meeting, which was attended by a number of council ministers in the parity government, The Presidency listened to an additional briefing on the updates of the general situation in Shabwa Governorate, given by a member of the Presidency, Salem Thabet Al-Awlaki, During which he reviewed the details of the armed rebellion of the military and security units loyal to the Brotherhood, which was reinforced by armed groups from Marib, Al-Jawf, and Dhamar, and its refusal to implement the decisions issued by the legitimate authorities represented by the Presidential Leadership Council and the local authority in the governorate. 
The Presidency praised the stability of the local authority in the governorate led by Governor Awad bin Al-Wazir Al-Awlaki and the security forces represented by Shabwa Defense Forces, and the wide popular social alignment that rejected the attempts of the Brotherhood forces to drag the governorate into the square of violence and chaos.
The commission renewed its condemnation of the armed attacks carried out by the rebel forces loyal to the Brotherhood, and their targeting of state institutions, residential neighborhoods and health facilities, Which resulted  death and injury of dozens of innocent civilians, in flagrant violation of all international humanitarian values, norms and laws.
The authority also renewed its call to all segments of society in Shabwa governorate to align with the local authority in the governorate and support its efforts to establish security and stability and normalize life in it, and it praised,  the responsible position of the Presidential leadership Council and the steps it took to end the rebellion and restore stability to Shabwa governorate, and renewed its supportive stance to enable the people of the governorate to manage their governorate’s civil, military, and security affairs, and the efforts of the governorate’s governor in this direction. 
In a separate context, the Presidency of the Transitional Council affirmed in its meeting the council’s support for peace efforts led by UN envoy Hans Grundberg and US envoy Tim Linder King, it emphasized the need to include the issue of the people of the south on the agenda of the negotiations to stop the war, and to set  negotiating framework for it in the comprehensive peace process, as stipulated in the final statement of the consultations of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf.
As well as to speedy in the formation of a joint negotiating delegation as stipulated in the Riyadh Agreement, reiterating its adherence to the priority of the presence of the people issues in the south in all stages of the political process without delay or procrastination.
  
The Presidency called on the parity government to carry out its duties in obligating international humanitarian organizations operating in our country to quickly transfer their main offices to the capital, Aden, , and to carry out their humanitarian activities in accordance with legal methods and frameworks and under the supervision of the internationally recognized legitimate authorities.
