The Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council, on Monday, held its periodic meeting, headed by President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, the President of the Council.
In the meeting, the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council discussed in details the most prominent issues related to the South, its people and cause, at the political, security, military and service levels.
The Presidency reviewed the agenda of its previous meeting, and the related accomplished tasks, in addition to reviewing the bi-monthly report of the General Administration of Political Monitoring and Analysis, and a report on the performance of the National Assembly for the same period, and the plan of the Southern Dialogue Team.
The Presidency of the Council warned against the conspiracy targeting Shabwa governorate and its people, noting that the apparent conflict between the militia of the Islah party and the Iran-backed Houthi militia proves the close relationship between the two militias, stressing in the context that Shabwa has not and will not be defeated and will remain as insurmountable as it has been throughout the ages.
The Presidency of the Council also reiterated the need to raise the level of general mobilization, and to assemble energies, and to increase the degree of maximum combat readiness to confront any aggression targeting the land and people of the South by the Iranian Houthi militia, and the forces of terrorism and extremism, which are trying to invade the South again.
In foreign affairs, the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council stood before the recent briefing of the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Mr. Hans Grundberg on Yemen, and what was stated therein, stressing that the international community did not reach certainty that the solution to the Yemeni crisis lies in giving the people of the South their right to restore their independent and fully sovereign state, and by not doing so, the country will be on the edge of an abyss, and further complication of the crisis.
