The Presidium of the Southern Transitional Council held its periodic meeting on Tuesday morning, headed by Mr. Fadl Muhammad Al-Jaadi, Deputy Secretary-General of the General Secretariat of the Presidium of the Council.
At the meeting, the Presidium reviewed the briefing of the General Department of Foreign Affairs on external developments related to the southern issue and the role of the Council in dealing with it, as the Presidium renewed its firm position in support of the Presidential Leadership Council to direct all efforts and capabilities to confront the Houthi threat, and its rejection of any attempts to deviate from this direction.
The Presidium stressed the need for prior coordination and agreement with regard to external diplomatic action, and not for one party to be unilateral in this regard.
In its meeting, the Presidium also called on the Government's Presidium to direct the state’s resources to meet the basic needs of the citizen, rehabilitate the infrastructure for services, pay the salaries of citizens, and the military and security forces on the battle fronts, and stop spending on areas unrelated to the government’s tasks at this stage in which the state of discontent and resentment multiplies on the government's performance and management to address the situation, which is getting worse.
The Presidium also renewed its thanks and appreciation to the heroes of the armed forces and security who are steadfast on the fronts to confront the Iranian Houthi ambitions in the south, calling for the continuation of their tremendous efforts to preserve the achievements of the people of the south achieved by the sacrifices of their brave heroes.
The meeting also touched on a number of other issues related to the work of the Council's bodies, and took the necessary measures in this regard.
