Abyan Transitional Reviews Report of the Council's Leadership Meeting with Education Office

The Executive Body of the Local Leadership of the Transitional Council in Abyan Governorate held on Wednesday at the headquarters of the local leadership in the city of Zanzibar, the capital of the governorate, its second periodic meeting for the month of October under the chairmanship of the Chairman of the Executive Body, Mr. Hassan Manser Ghaithan, in the presence of Ali Sheikh Al-Syria, Vice Chairman of the Body.

The Body in charge of going down to the Education Office in the governorate, represented by the Vice Chairman of the Executive Body, Mr. Ali Sheikh Al-Suri, and the Director of the Economic and Service Department, Dr. Mubarak Al-Homsi, reviewed the results of the meeting with Dr. Wadah Al-Hizi, Director General of the Education Office in the Governorate, during its field visit last Monday.

The report referred to the discussion of many issues related to the educational process and the extent of preparations for the resumption of study in all governorate schools despite the shortage of educational staff, and the discussion of the issue of the number of contractors with UNICEF, and the need for equitable distribution of contractors to the governorate districts and to take advantage of this opportunity to cover the shortage in the educational staff.

The report touched on the discussion of the issues of rural districts deprived of construction, restoration and school furniture projects granted by the state and supporting international organizations and the need to employ the available capabilities to serve the educational process.

During its meeting, the Body stood before a number of issues related to organizational aspects and the importance of strengthening the role of institutional work within the framework of executive bodies and local leadership in the governorate districts.
