Mr. Hassan Manser Ghaithan Al-Kazmi, Chairman of the Executive Body of the Local Leadership of the Transitional Council in Abyan Governorate, Chairman of the Preparatory Committee for the Festival, today, Sunday, while chairing the meeting with members of the Preparatory Committee and subcommittees, was briefed on the progress of the latest preparations for the Carnival Festival that the capital, Zanzibar, will witness next Wednesday morning, corresponding to 11/29/2023.

The meeting, which was attended by Dr. Saeed Bayunis and Mr. Muhammad Al-Amoud, members of the National Assembly, was devoted to reviewing the activity of the Preparatory Committee and the subcommittees during the past period and joint coordination during the next stage to make the Carnival Festival a success, which coincides with our people’s celebrations on the occasion of the 56th anniversary of Independence Day, the 30th of November.

Ghaithan listened to the arrangements for preparing rehearsals for the exhibition panels for the youth and student sectors that will be presented at the ceremony in proportion to the level and size of the occasion.

Ghaithan stressed the need to intensify efforts and joint coordination between all committees to make the festival a success, and to give a militant character consistent with the sacrifices made by the heroes of the South in their struggle that culminated in liberation and independence.

In a related context, Professor Hassan Ghaithan, along with the preparatory committee, inspected the festival arena, which will be held at the stadium of Nasib Awad in the city of Zanzibar, and the extent of its readiness to receive mass crowds and carnival shows.
