In the name of God, the most gracious, the most merciful

To our great southern people at home and abroad on the occasion of the 56th anniversary of the first national independence on November 30, 1967, we extend our congratulations to our people inside and outside the country, asking God to repeat this occasion when all of our people’s goals and aspirations for freedom, independence, and the building of their desired federal state have been achieved.

The great victory achieved on November 30, 1967, and the tremendous political and development achievements that followed within the framework of building the nascent southern state that preserved the rights of all its people, would not have been achieved without the precious sacrifices made by the finest heroes and martyrs.

As we celebrate the anniversary of independence, we remember with reverence the sacrifices of those who rose as martyrs to reach this day, feeling the greatness of the great responsibility placed on our shoulders to restore lost independence, build the desired southern homeland, and complete the path of freedom in which our people and our armed forces have come a long way, and we only need more  patience to reach the end of this path.

This stage, with its complexities and challenges, requires all of us to strengthen our internal front and intensify our external political activity in conjunction with field work to protect the gains achieved.

We affirm our steadfastness in continuing on the path of freedom and independence and preserving the achievements and victories achieved, in fulfillment of the sacrifices of the martyrs and commitment to the irrevocable covenant we made with ourselves and our people.


We call on the free world and the international system that believes in the rights of peoples to self-determination to support the aspirations of our people to restore and build their state to be an important factor of security and stability in the region and to fight terrorism and protect international shipping lanes from acts of piracy and targeting international trade lines in Bab Al-Mandab, the Gulf of Aden, and the Red Sea.
