Saihut Hosts Central Event on Occasion of the 56th Anniversary of National Independence Day, Glorious November 30

On Monday, December 4, 2023, Sayhut District in Al-Mahra Governorate witnessed the central event to commemorate the “56th” anniversary of National Independence Day, glorious November 30, under the slogan “The Festival of the Triumph of Arab Cohesion”, in the presence of Mujahid bin Afrar, head of the local leadership of the Southern Transitional Council in the governorate, and his deputy, Mr.  Musab Hamid, members of the National Assembly, transitional leaders of the governorate’s districts, sheikhs and notables, and social, political and feminist figures in the governorate, amid huge crowds that poured in from all sides, from Jabal Sarfit Hawf in the east and from Wadi al-Masila to the west, to commemorate the great national anniversary, the “56th” anniversary of the Southern National Independence Day, November 30  in the courtyard of Arwa School in Sayhut District.

The 56th anniversary of the Southern National Independence Day coincides with the celebrations of the brothers in the United Arab Emirates, the Arab Alliance, on the occasion of the 52nd anniversary of the National Day, and the anniversary of the Emirati Martyr’s Day.


The arena of the event commemorating the first Independence Day was filled with huge crowds who came from all sides to Saihut District to participate in this great and precious occasion in Saihut District, stressing their adherence to the national constants and the goal of the southern popular will from Al-Mahra in the east to Bab Al-Mandub in the west, which is liberation, independence, and the restoration of the federal state of the South over its entire national territory, within the borders before the ill-fated occupation unit, after the South achieved military and political victories through the skill of its southern political leadership, represented by President Commander Aidaroos Qasim Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council and Supreme Commander of the Southern Armed Forces.

The crowds raised the flags of the South, pictures of President Aidaroos Qasim Al-Zubaidi, the flags of the sisterly Arab Emirates, and the flags of occupied Palestine.

At the opening of the festival, the head of the Executive Body of the local leadership of the Southern Transitional Council in Sayhut District, Mr. Ali Jamaan Awaid, gave a welcoming speech in which he welcomed the governorate’s transitional leaders, represented by brother Mujahid bin Afrar, head of the local leadership of the Southern Transitional Council in Al-Mahra Governorate, Musab Hamid’s deputy, members of the National Assembly, and political, Social, and feminist figures, sheikhs and notables of the governorate, and the overwhelming public mobilization.


The head of the local leadership of the Southern Transitional Council in Al-Mahra Governorate, Mujahid bin Afrar, delivered a speech at the beginning of which he conveyed the greetings of President Commander Aidaroos Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council, to the people of Al-Mahra Governorate gathered in this major public event, reviewing the implications that the anniversary of National Independence Day carries for the people of the South and what the sons of the southern people have witnessed immortal sacrifices and heroic epics since the launch of  October 14 Revolution, which culminated in the achievement of the first and complete national independence on November 30, 1967.


Concluding his speech, Ben Afrar affirmed that the path of the Second Independence Revolution will continue until it achieves its desired goal, calling on everyone to have greater cohesion, close ranks, steadfastness in the face of all the challenges and conspiracies being hatched by the enemies of the South, and with yoursteadfastness it will inevitably fail like its predecessors, and they will not succeed in bringing our steadfast southern people to their knees.

The ceremony witnessed many artistic and cultural heritage events that characterize the people of Al-Mahra Governorate, and many popular dances were also presented, the most prominent of which was Al-Kabara dance, and the enthusiastic revolutionary poetry poems that won everyone’s approval.
