Al-Beidh Meets with Representatives from Different Countries at the UN Security Council

Mr. Amr Al-Beidh, special representative of the President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), met virtually with a representative of a group of Security Council member states. 


 
Mr. Amr Al-Bidh gave a comprehensive briefing on the latest developments in the South and Yemen, highlighting the economic situation, the escalating terrorist activities of the Houthi militia in the Red Sea and Al-Mandab Strait, as well as the prospects for returning to the path of peace at this stage.



Al-Beidh touched on the recent escalation of the Houthi militia arrest campaign against UN staff, international organization personnel, and civil society members in areas under their control, calling for those militias to be held accountable and for humanitarian workers to be protected and immediately released.



The meeting was held with the participation of Ms. Samar Ahmed, representative of the
Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Authority (FAEA) of the STC to the United Nations.
