President Al-Zubaidi Chairs Important Meeting of the High-Level Security Committee

The high-level security committee held an important meeting in the capital, Aden, today, Thursday, headed by President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Vice Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), in the presence of Lieutenant General Mohsen Muhammad Al-Da'eri, the Minister of Defense and Chairman of the Committee.

The High-Level Security Committee meticulously examined the range of topics on its agenda, which centered on the prevailing security situation and the ongoing efforts and measures to establish security and stability across the country.

In this respect, the committee listened to a concise briefing from the committee's chairman on the security situation in the liberated governorates, the current challenges faced by the security services, and the measures being implemented to enhance security and stability and maintain the public tranquility of citizens.

The committee also reviewed a series of security reports presented by the relevant security services, which summarized the terrorist activities of al-Qaeda, ISIS, and the Houthi militias, as well as the measures taken to counter the activities of these organizations and the progress made in this regard, according to a report presented by the head of counter-terrorism.

In its meeting, the committee discussed the latest developments in the country's economic situation, their impact on the military and security situation, and the overall level of stability. Moreover, the committee shed light on the issue of opening crossings with non-liberated areas and took the appropriate measures in this regard.

The committee touched on a range of security issues on the local scene and the required precautionary measures and procedures to address these violations and prevent their recurrence.

The committee commenced its meeting by reviewing its previous decisions and directives, assessing their implementation status, and examining the challenges encountered in their enforcement. In this context, the committee resolved to convene regular bi-weekly meetings to ensure continuous monitoring of developments, security-related issues, and their prompt resolution.

At the end of its meeting, President Al-Zubaidi highlighted the importance of intensifying efforts and coordination between various security services and military units and dealing firmly and decisively with any threats in this aspect to ensure the protection of citizens and maintain security and stability throughout the country.

Similarly, President Al-Zubaidi stressed the need to enhance cooperation with international and regional partners in the aspects of training and qualification to raise the capabilities of the security services and enhance the efficiency of their members so that they can fully and effectively accomplish their tasks and duties.
