The head of the executive body of the local leadership of the Southern Transitional Council in Abyan Governorate, Hassan Munsar Ghaithan Al-Kazmi, discussed today, Tuesday, with the commander of the Abyan axis, Brigadier General Mukhtar Al-Noubi, the current security and military situations in the governorate.

Ghaithan stressed the importance of unifying efforts to establish security and enhance stability in the governorate, to confront any challenges that threaten its security and stability, stressing the importance of preserving the political gains and victories achieved by the political leadership of the Southern Transitional Council at the local and international levels towards the issue of the people of the south, for which the military and security establishment provided  Convoys of martyrs and wounded are still making great sacrifices in defense of the menstruation of the South to win its cause and its liberation project.

During the meeting, the Head of the executive body expressed his deep appreciation for the role of the Commander of Abyan axis in supporting stability in Abyan Governorate and his support for efforts directed towards combating the forces of extremism and terrorism, stressing the importance of strengthening cohesion between the people of Abyan in particular and the south in general in confronting the challenges of Houthi extremism, as well as those who exploit the issues to the Militias  advantage.

The two sides also discussed several vital security issues of common interest to ensure the stability and security of the governorate, and also touched on the current challenges facing Abyan, and attempts to shuffle the cards and exploit some issues that the Council’s leadership was and still is very keen on, and an attempt to employ them politically by some parties to divert attention from...  The provocations and hostilities carried out by the Houthi militia against the South and its people in general.

The two sides stressed the need to maintain the security and stability of Abyan Governorate, and to take all necessary measures to repel any attempts to destabilize security by the Houthi militias, and joint work and effective coordination between the southern military forces and the people of Abyan constitutes the cornerstone of achieving this goal.
