Cooperative and Agricultural Credit Bank (CAC Bank) Launches Environmental Analysis Workshop

The Cooperative and Agricultural Credit Bank (CAC Bank) in the capital Aden, on Monday, August 5, launched the Environmental Analysis workshop, which comes as a continuation of the work of the Strategic Plan Preparation Committee using the Balanced Scorecard, with the participation of 43 leaders and employees from various departments and branches, and with the participation of the Arab Academy for Administrative and Banking Sciences.


Mohammed Abu Hatim, Assistant of the Business Development Sector at CAC Bank, explained that environmental analysis is a strategic approach used to identify all the internal and external factors that can affect the success of banks. The internal components reveal the bank's strengths and weaknesses, while the external components represent the opportunities and risks outside the bank.


Abu Hatim pointed out that high-level trends and factors are taken into account in the environmental analysis, and how they can affect the bank's operations.


Regarding the benefits of environmental analysis, Abu Hatim stressed that environmental assessments help in discovering potential impacts, what may pose a risk or opportunity, and this in turn helps in anticipating changes in the surrounding environment, as the use of environmental scanning has many advantages, including: (forecasting the future, identifying threats and allowing them to develop a response strategy, helping to achieve work objectives, and increasing organizational effectiveness).


The workshop was participated in by the Dean of the Arab Academy for Administrative and Banking Sciences, Prof. Dr. Abdul Qadir Al-Abbadi, and Dr. Abdullah Haider, Assistant Professor of Management, and trained by Prof. Dr. Murad Muhammad Al-Nashmi, an expert in strategic institutional development, in addition to the presence of Prof. Dr. Yasser Basarda, Dean of the College of Administrative Sciences at the University of Aden."
