Mr. Ali Abdullah Al-Kathiri, Acting President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Chairman of the National Assembly, met today, Sunday, with Mr. Meyad Ahmed Salem, Head of School Textbook Printing Union, in the capital, Aden, and Mr. Mohammed Bader Al-Nahdi, Head of the Hadhramaut School Textbook Printing Union.

During the meeting, Mr. Al-Kathiri was briefed by the two heads of the unions in the capital, Aden, and Hadhramaut, on the operational activities of the public administrations, departments, and divisions within the institution and the efforts exerted to complete the printing of school textbooks for this year to meet the needs of schools in the liberated governorates, in addition to the host of difficulties and obstacles hindering the institution’s work.

Al-Kathiri commended the institution's capabilities, its qualified staff, and the tireless efforts it is making to provide textbooks and meet the needs of schools, despite the difficult circumstances the country is going through.

The Acting President of the STC stressed the need to put an end to the violations of printing school curricula outside the official channels represented by the General Institution for School Textbook Printing, as this constitutes a blatant violation of its legal rights, affirming the STC's support for applying the law and rejecting such violations, and non-tolerating any obstacles faced by the institution in continuing its pioneering and national role in serving education.
