The Chairman of "CAC Bank" Participates in Meeting Between Yemeni Delegation and Saudi Minister of Agriculture

The Acting Chairman and CEO of the Cooperative and Agricultural Credit Bank (CAC Bank), Mr. Hashid Al-Hamdani, participated in a meeting that brought together the Yemeni delegation, led by the Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Fisheries, Major General Salem Al-Socotri, and the Minister of Environment, Water, and Agriculture of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Engineer Abdulrahman bin Abdulmohsen Al-Fadhli.

This meeting took place on the sidelines of the 16th session of the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (COP16), held in the capital of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh, from December 2–13, 2024. The discussions focused on issues related to the agricultural and fisheries sectors and enhancing opportunities for agricultural and fish exports from Yemen to Saudi Arabia.

During the meeting, His Excellency Minister of Agriculture, Major General Salem Al-Socotri, praised the COP16 conference, which is currently being held in Riyadh and has received widespread appreciation both locally and internationally. He noted that Saudi Arabia has shouldered the responsibility of hosting this important environmental event, which is part of global efforts to address climate change and promote sustainability.

Al-Socotri also pointed out the excellent organization of the conference, which included the provision of integrated infrastructure and the professional management of sessions and discussions. This facilitated dialogue between countries and organizations. He also commended the warm reception extended to conference participants, reflecting Saudi Arabia's renowned hospitality. The Kingdom demonstrated its leadership role in environmental issues and its commitment to achieving the goals of Vision 2030 by promoting sustainability and reducing carbon emissions. Saudi Arabia announced several initiatives related to renewable energy and environmental protection during the conference.

During the meeting, Al-Hamdani emphasized the importance of developing economic cooperation between the two brotherly countries, highlighting the promising opportunities that could contribute to supporting the Yemeni economy and increasing exports.

It was agreed to continue joint efforts to strengthen economic relations between the two countries, facilitate export operations, and achieve mutual benefits that contribute to the development of the local economy.
