The Economic Department of the Transitional Council Coordination, Abyan University, organizes a dialogue meeting on beekeeping in Zanzibar District

Under the auspices of the President Commander Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council, and the supervision of Professor Muhammad Ahmed Al-Shaqi, head of the Executive Body of the Local Leadership of the Transitional Council in Abyan Governorate, and Dr.
 The Economic Department of the Transitional Council, Abyan University, organized this morning at the headquarters of the Transitional Council in the capital, Zanzibar, a dialogue meeting on beekeeping in the district, economic feasibility and suffering, in the presence of the transitional president of Zanzibar, Muammar Sheikh Ibrahim, and researcher in beekeeping, Mr. Aref Hammoud, and researcher Saleh Al-Hamza, and a number of  Of those interested and specialists in the field of bees.
 At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Muhammad Haidara, the head of the council’s coordinator at the College of Education, Zanzibar, and the director of the economic department at the Abyan University coordinator, conveyed the greetings of the president of the transitional council in the governorate, Professor Muhammad Al-Shaqi, and the head of the coordinator at the university, Dr. Yeslam at night.
 Noting that this activity comes within the framework of the program and plan of the coordination, which is sponsored by the Southern Transitional Council, led by President Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, who pays great attention to the beekeepers and all segments of society.
 He explained that beekeeping in the south, and honey production, is one of the economic tributaries of the country, and honey is considered a curative substance for many diseases.
 He added, "Through this meeting, we hope to benefit from your accumulated experience that you have gained during this period in beekeeping, and to deal with it for the benefit of those interested and specialists in this field."
 The dialogue meeting touched upon the knowledge of the types of bees, the types of honey, the most important areas specialized in beekeeping, how to preserve the life and reproduction of bees, methods of preserving honey, selling and exporting it, and the economic feasibility of beekeeping.
 The meeting concluded with the necessity of establishing an association for beekeepers in the governorate, concerned with the concerns and suffering of beekeepers, addressing their issues, establishing a research center specialized in beekeeping and honey production, supporting beekeepers with the necessary equipment and devices for protection, providing the necessary medicines to treat bee diseases, and the need to organize a bee market.
