Mr. Omar Al-Harash, Director of Public Administration in the Abyan Transitional Council, met this morning at the council’s headquarters in the capital, Zanjabar, with Mr. Salem Awad Ali, head of the General Federation of South Trade Unions in the governorate, Salih Makish Musabin, Secretary-General of the Federation, and the branch’s financial officer, Salih Gobel Abdullah.

 The meeting, which was attended by the Director of Social Affairs in the Abyan Transitional Council, Ms. Jihan Haidara, and the Deputy Director of Public Administration, Fikri Moqfaa, discussed the directions of the Transitional Council in promoting and activating the activity of trade unions' work in state facilities and institutions.

 The meeting discussed ways to complete the shortage process in the union committees in the facilities, and the convening of the General Conference of the Federation of General Trade Unions.

 It was also agreed during the meeting to prepare an action plan for the General Federation of Trade Unions, to implement the work of the electoral cycles through the Preparatory Committee, which will be submitted to the Council later.

 The meeting touched on discussing the preparation of the operating budget, with the aim of going to the directorates by the Union branch in the governorate.
