In memory of the immortal battle of “Al-Faisal”, we go back in history to four years ago, specifically on the 18th of February in the year 2018 AD;  When the leadership of the Hadrami Elite Forces announced the purification of Wadi al-Musini, west of the city of Mukalla, from the grip of the terrorist organization after fierce battles;  Which is considered one of the most important strongholds of al-Qaeda in Hadhramaut.

 The operation, with the support and air support of the UAE Armed Forces, was the second military operation after the operation to liberate the city of Mukalla and the areas of the Hadhramaut coast, a year after the terrorist organization took control of them.

 Before the battle:

 The leadership of the Hadrami Elite Forces and the leadership of the Emirati Duty Force have developed a precise military plan to cleanse Wadi al-Musini, the last stronghold of the terrorist organization on the coast of Hadramout;  Which he kept using as a base to launch his terrorist operations towards the cities of the Hadhramaut coast.

 The battle began with the creation of military points at the entrances and exits of the valley on Friday the 16th of February, imposing a siege on it from three directions and cutting off supplies for two days, and then the storming plan was implemented.

 Battle start:

 On the morning of February 19, 2018, the Hadrami Elite Forces announced the launch of Operation “Al-Faisal” to eradicate terrorism and completely dry up its sources from Wadi Al-Musini and the Hadhramaut coast.  Where the terrorist organization’s elements resorted to using car bombs and planting explosive devices, to impede the progress of the Hadrami elite lions;  The elite heroes committed the most wonderful epics against the elements of the organization and inflicted heavy losses on them in lives and equipment, despite the rugged terrain and vastness of the valley, which al-Qaeda exploited to mobilize its fighters and store its weapons in caves and mountains.

 The cleansing of the Messini Valley:

 The Hadrami Elite Forces wrote a heroic epic against Al-Qaeda terrorist organization in a decisive battle that lasted for a whole day after a suffocating siege for two days before the zero hour announcement of the start of the operation.  Hadhramout Governorate, inflicting a crushing defeat on the organization and expelling it completely from the coast of Hadramawt;  This was with direct support and support and with decisive air cover for the UAE Armed Forces.

 Wadi al-Masini and its strategic location, with its connection and its alignment with the districts of Hajar and Brom on the coast of Hadhramaut, posed a threat to the security of Mukalla and the Hadrami coast, and by securing and liberating it.

 Battle outcome:

 Operation “Al-Faisal” resulted in the martyrdom of two Hadrami Elite soldiers;  The killing of more than thirty terrorist elements, and the capture of many of them, including wounded and leaders, and the seizing of medium and heavy weapons and ammunition, as well as various missiles;  And the control of the house and farm of the leader of al-Qaeda, a disinfectant in Bagzwan, in the Messini Valley.

 The efforts of the coalition forces and the main element in the liberation:

 The victories achieved by the “Al-Faisal” operation, which resulted in the defeat of the terrorist organization Al-Qaeda in the Messini Valley, were supported and planned by the UAE armed forces within the framework of the leadership of the Arab coalition, based on the brotherly and Arab role, and what the terrorist organization poses as a threat to international peace and security, and to lay the foundations of security and stability  In the Hadhramaut governorate and the south, where the support provided by the Emirati force and the air cover constituted the main element for clearing Wadi Al-Musini and the entire cities of the Hadhramaut coast in general;  The arrest of internationally wanted dangerous terrorist elements, the protection of the coasts and territorial waters, the fight against arms and contraband smuggling, and the seizure of more than 85 tons of mines, missiles, ammunition and explosives in ISIS hideouts on the coast of Hadramout.
