The General Department of Foreign Affairs of the Southern Transitional Council welcomes the expansion of the ban on the delivery of weapons to Houthi terrorist militias, as stipulated in Security Council Resolution 2624, stressing the need for member states to implement the necessary measures to implement this resolution, in order to ensure an end to the dangerous terrorist practices carried out by the Houthi terrorist militia. Which comes at the forefront of targeting civilian objects, economic facilities and populated cities in the south, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, in addition to threatening international navigation and the security and stability of the region.
The Foreign Affairs of the Transitional Council appreciates the Security Council’s resolution’s call for all parties to participate constructively in the consultations led by the Secretary-General’s envoy “without any preconditions,” calling on the international community to continue to support a comprehensive and constructive approach that ensures a successful and lasting political process.
