President Commander Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council, Supreme Commander of the Southern Armed Forces, received this evening, at his residence in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, H.E. Dominique Minor, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium in Riyadh.

 At the beginning of the meeting, the Commander-in-Chief welcomed Ambassador Minor, praising the solid relations between our country and the Kingdom of Belgium, and the remarkable humanitarian role played by the Belgian government in alleviating the effects of the humanitarian crisis caused by the war in Yemen.

 The Leader stressed the importance of the support provided by Belgium in the sector of rehabilitation, training and capacity-building, especially in the diplomatic aspect, supporting development projects, supporting and reviving the collapsed economy and contributing to the reconstruction of the infrastructure destroyed by the war, foremost of which is the sectors of electricity, water, environmental sanitation, education, and health.

 For her part, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium expressed her happiness to meet the leader, expressing her congratulations to him and his colleagues in the Presidential Leadership Council emanating from the Riyadh consultations, stressing that she is looking forward to working with the new leadership to help the government out of the current crisis.

 Ambassador Minor affirmed her country's government's readiness to provide support to the government of parity to promote development, revive the economy, and build the capacity of state employees.

 The Belgian ambassador stressed the importance of involving women in decision-making circles and in various government sectors, stressing her country's keenness to empower Yemeni women to participate effectively in the country's political process.

 The meeting was attended by Muhammad Al-Ghaithi, head of the General Department of Foreign Affairs of the Council, Saleh Ghaleb Al-Quaiti, representative of the General Department of Foreign Affairs, Imad Muhammad, Deputy Director of the Office of the President of the Transitional Council, and Ali Al-Hadayani, Press and Media Secretary to the President of the Council.
