On Tuesday, May 24th, President Commander Aidarous Qassem Al-Zaidi, Vice Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, met the Governor of Abyan Governorate, Major General Abu Bakr Hussein Salem.

 From the governor of Abyan, the leader listened to a full explanation of the general situation in the governorate, the difficulties facing the work of the local authority in providing basic services to citizens, and proposals for possible solutions to secure the minimum level of services for the people of the governorate.

 President Al-Zubaidi was briefed by Major General Abu Bakr Hussein about the security situation in the province, and the efforts made by the security services, particularly the Security Belt Forces, to impose security and stability, control terrorist elements, and combat crime in all its forms.

 President Al-Zubaidi stressed the importance of redoubling efforts and coordinating work between all sectors to alleviate the suffering of the people of Abyan, who have endured a lot during the past period.

 The Commander-in-Chief stressed that the Abyan Governorate should take its natural place in the movement of economic development, given its diverse terrain and climatic nature, and the elements it possesses of attracting investment, as well as its important geographical location.

 For his part, Major General Abu Bakr Hussein expressed his thanks and appreciation to President Al-Zubaidi for the attention he pays to the Abyan governorate, and his constant keenness to overcome any difficulties or obstacles that hinder the work of the local authority.
