In the meeting, which included Mr. Lotfi Shatara - Member of the Presidency, Vice-President of the Assembly, Mr. Ali Al Kathiri, the official spokesman of the Southern Transitional Council, Chairman of the National Southern Media Authority, and Mr. Mukhtar Al-Yafei, Vice-President of the National Southern Media Authority, Head of the Radio and Television Sector, and Head of the Media Committee for the fifth session For the National Assembly, Mr. Hossam Ashour.
Major General Bin Brik gave a detailed explanation of the determinants of the fifth session of the National Assembly, which was called for by a decision issued by President Commander Aidarous bin Qassim Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council.
The President of the Assembly stressed that the fifth session comes in light of many changes and developments that have occurred in the southern arena, most notably the Riyadh consultations and the resulting outputs, including the formation of a temporary presidential leadership council to manage the current stage.
Major General Bin Brik said: "The next stage requires more work, efforts and evaluation within the Assembly and within the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council, in a way that enables the advancement of competencies capable of giving."
Major General Ben Brik praised the great media efforts undertaken by the National Southern Media Authority, as well as the official and civil media, and the coordination between the Authority and the Media Committee of the Fifth Session of the National Assembly.
For his part, Mr. Ali Al Kathiri affirmed the readiness of the National Southern Media Authority, with all its problem sectors, to cover this great event, keep pace with all preparations and activities of the convening, and harness all available capabilities and means to highlight it in the media in a manner befitting its importance.

During the meeting, Maj. Gen. Bin Brik listened to a number of proposals and opinions aimed at highlighting the main and important contents of the fifth session, complementary ideas and assistance for the success of the media action plan.
