The Presidency of the Transitional Council stresses the need to expedite urgent economic reforms

 The Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council stressed the need for the government to implement urgent economic reforms that contribute to reviving the economic situation to alleviate the suffering of citizens.
 The Presidency, in its meeting held on Saturday, June 4, headed by Major General Ahmed Saeed bin Brik, Speaker of the National Assembly, called on the government to quickly implement a comprehensive restructuring of the management of the Central Bank, the Anti-Corruption Authority, the Central Agency for Control and Accountability, and the Supreme Economic Committee, in accordance with the principle of parity between north and south, according to  What was included in the outputs of the Riyadh Agreement.
 In this context, the Presidency affirmed in its meeting its categorical rejection of the suspicious moves made by a number of officials in the administration of the Central Bank abroad, which are in line with some dissonant voices calling for the unification of the banking process between the Central Bank, which is under the control of the Houthi militia in Sana’a, and the Central Bank in Aden.  Warn those parties that seek to implement suspicious agendas of the consequences of their actions.
 In the meeting, which was attended by the Secretary-General of the Presidency of the Council, Minister of State and Governor of the capital, Aden Ahmed Hamed Lamlas, and Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Dr.  Muhammad Al-Zouri, the Presidency, called on the government of parity to assume its responsibilities in supplying oil revenues to the central bank in Aden, and to find quick solutions to recover Aden’s electricity from its deteriorating situation, speed up the operation of Aden’s refineries, and stop the exchange of lands in the capital, Aden, Lahj, Abyan, and Al-Mahra governorates.  And activating the Land Survey Committee to carry out its tasks in those governorates.
 In a separate context, the Presidency, in its meeting held this morning, stood before the reality of the southern media and the performance of the council’s media in the light of a report submitted by Mr. Ali Al Kathiri, a member of the Presidency of the Council, head of the National Southern Media Commission. Through the report, the commission was briefed on the most prominent achievements that  Achieved by the National Southern Media Authority in various sectors, and discussed the most prominent difficulties and challenges facing the work of the Commission’s sectors and its efforts to advance the southern media discourse, in line with the political achievements of the Transitional Council regionally and internationally.
 At the conclusion of its meeting, the Presidency touched on a number of issues on its agenda and took the necessary measures.
