Major General Ahmed Saeed bin Brik, President of the National Assembly of the Southern Transitional Council, discussed with the head of the local leadership of the Transitional Council in Socotra Governorate Raafat Al-Thaqali and members of the National Assembly accompanying him, the general situation in Socotra Governorate and in the south in general.

 He provided them with a clarification on the Riyadh agreement and consultations and the consequent political and economic events. He also indicated that the fifth session of the National Assembly, which will be held in the coming period, bears many important societal issues that will be discussed and solutions proposed to alleviate the suffering of our people in the south.  .

 Major General Bin Brik stressed the determination of the leadership of the Southern Transitional Council to restructure the council's bodies and change its political discourse, in line with the next stage, stressing the need for the unity of the southern ranks to overcome all difficulties and obstacles.

 For his part, Al-Thaqali indicated that several meetings were held in Socotra and all the components carried messages and recommendations to the presidency of the local leadership of the Transitional Council to be presented to the presidency of the Assembly to be discussed in the next session of the Assembly.

 At the conclusion of the meeting, Major General Ahmed Saeed presented a number of tips and directions to implement them, in line with the nature of Socotra Governorate.
