President Commander Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council, gave an important speech at the opening of the fifth session of the National Assembly of the Southern Transitional Council, in which he said:
In the name of of Allah the Merciful
Praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds, and prayers and peace be upon His faithful and faithful Messenger, his family and companions, and those who followed him in goodness until the Day of Judgment.
Brother President of the Southern National Assembly.
Sisters and brothers, members of the National Assembly of the Southern Transitional Council.
O son of our great southern people at home and abroad.
All present.
Peace, mercy and blessings of God:
We salute you with dignity and pride, a greeting of love and pride, and we are pleased to share with you the opening of the activities of the fifth session of the National Assembly, which brings with it new horizons for development and upgrading the institutional work in the Southern Transitional Council.
On this great occasion, we recall the great patriotic goal that our southern patriotic levers carried, protected, and preserved, represented in the peaceful movement, reconciliation and tolerance, and the valiant southern resistance.
Dear sisters and brothers:
This history of struggle represents a national epic that had to have a leadership system and an inclusive political front that preserves its achievements and coordinates its efforts until achieving the desired national goal of restoring our state and Arab identity.
Since the historic declaration of Aden on May 4, 2017, we have assumed this responsibility, relying on it, after God, on the will of our great southern people, their firm and unrelenting determination, and their legitimate right for which they paid dear sacrifices, as the Southern Transitional Council led this responsibility in the circumstances Exceptional political, economic, military and security turning points were not easy, and he will continue his mission for which he was founded until the aspirations of our people in a modern southern federal state are achieved.
Sisters and Brothers:
Establishing the foundations of institutional work in the Southern Transitional Council was a major national task that attracted our special attention, and accompanies the work and the political and military efforts made, as a first step on the road to organizational building that prepares for the shape of the state in the south, the state that our people have struggled for decades to restore after being exercised against us all All kinds of conspiracy that we broke with the blood of our martyrs, the valiant struggle of our people, and the ability to deal with various circumstances and developments.
It was not easy for our cause to reach this level of strength and political presence regionally and internationally, but the southern people’s will expressed in the documents and literature of the Southern Transitional Council was stronger than all obstacles and challenges, and as long as the south was strong with all its children, we renew today our affirmation that this southern homeland The great is for all southerners without exception. Let us mobilize energies and efforts towards a more solid national solidarity that enhances and protects our national gains, and preserves the sacrifices of our martyrs. It is a historical responsibility that rests on all of us before God, the people, and history.
Ladies and Gentlemen :
Our concern for the unity of the southern national ranks will remain constant. This is our approach since the first day, and we have always been sure that all southerners stand on the same goal, even if the methods are different and the means are different. Today, we stand on the threshold of a new stage that requires us to take a national step towards more coordination, cooperation and partnership. .
The external dialogue team that we assigned to work and communicate with various forces, components, elites, legal and specialized personalities, has made commendable efforts, and today it is time for a parallel dialogue from within, to translate our joint southern contacts into a national honor charter that is agreed upon with all southern forces and components in the capital, Aden. To ensure the achievement of our common national goals, and the participation of all segments of our southern people in shaping the features of the future of the southern state.
We directed the Negotiations Affairs Unit to start contacting the formation of a southern national delegation led by the Transitional Council with the participation, presence and representation of various southern forces and competencies to represent the cause of the people of the south and their legitimate aspirations in the political process.
And our tireless efforts will not be limited to that only, but to a broader representation of our southern people and its living national forces and components within the framework of the Southern Transitional Council as an inclusive national entity, along with institutional reform, through the restructuring and expansion of our national institutions and bodies, the appropriate change in their strength and innovation that aligns with existing requirements. After extensive evaluation of performance at the level of institutions and individuals.
The dear southern national gains are protected by the will of the people, the unity of the position, and our sincere insistence to achieve what we began working on decades ago, in peace and war, according to the various circumstances that have passed.
Sisters and Brothers:
There is no doubt that our strategic partnership with the countries of the Arab coalition led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates is a matter of great pride and importance, and that its development and building on what has been achieved in it continues towards true southern integration with the system of neighboring countries and their brotherly peoples.
And the challenges facing the coalition countries are challenges that lie before us as well, and we share with them in confronting them, addressing them, and developing appropriate solutions to them.
From this standpoint, in addition to the southern national political entitlement, our participation in the Riyadh Agreement, whose contents are still fixed, and we are working to implement it as an integral part of our current partnership in the Presidential Leadership Council, which came as a treatment of very important political, economic and military conditions.
Where the political forces, components and elites unanimously agreed in the Riyadh consultations, which were sponsored by the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, on the need to address the institution of the presidency and carry out a radical reform in the state’s structures, and to reconsider many files as declared outputs, at the forefront of which was the inclusion of the issue of the people of the south in the agenda of negotiations, stopping the war and establishing a negotiating framework Special for it in the comprehensive peace process led by the United Nations, as well as recognition of the right of the south to self-determination and determine its political future.
Today, it is our presence in the Presidential Command Council to ensure the implementation of all of the above, including the completion of the implementation of the Riyadh Agreement, a comprehensive economic reform that extricates our people from their humanitarian plight and their difficult economic conditions, and a military reform that guarantees addressing the breaches in the Ministries of Defense and Interior, and the ability to confront threats The military, and the coordination of military and operational efforts between our southern armed forces and the various anti-Houthi military forces.
Ladies and Gentelmen :
The requirements of the stage require everyone to unite, cooperate and cooperate, to lift the country out of its current situation, and strive with every effort to provide basic services, revive the economic and service situation, reform state institutions, combat corruption, and fulfill the requirements of development, security and stability.
In this regard, we in the Presidential Leadership Council put the suffering of the citizen in the capital, Aden, and all of the liberated governorates, in light of the high cost of living, deterioration of services and lack of income, at the forefront of our priorities. The deteriorating services in it, thanking the quick response of the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and the State of Kuwait to address some urgent files, and their willingness to support a number of service projects in the capital, Aden, and other liberated governorates.
Ladies and Gentlemen :
The decision of the unjust war on the south was not in front of us but to confront it, and this is what we did. We defended ourselves, our people, our land and our dignity. We offered tens of thousands of martyrs and wounded for the sake of the south. Political, social, economic, security and religious.
Accordingly, we from the earth will decide what peace will be, the peace that guarantees the achievement of what we fought and sacrificed for, and not peace that is far from reality.
We have called for a comprehensive peace, and we still do, but this peace must guarantee the restoration of the south to its people, and the return of Yemen to its Arab incubator.
This comes through a comprehensive political process, in which everyone participates, and through which the southerners decide their fate according to their legitimate and declared aspirations, and in which the peoples of the region are guaranteed a secure Yemen, and this is the solution included in the Riyadh Agreement, the outcomes of the consultations of the Cooperation Council, and the reality on the ground.
Therefore, in the context of our support for the armistice, we are looking closely at everything that is going on, and we note in this regard the need to form a joint negotiating delegation in accordance with the provisions of the Riyadh Agreement and confirmed by the consultations of the Cooperation Council, as well as setting clear and agreed parameters for the comprehensive political process.
Ladies and Gentelmen :
Protecting our strategic region and securing shipping lines in Bab al-Mandab and the Gulf of Aden comes through real stability in the dear south, and this is what we are working on with our partners in the region.
Therefore, the attempt of our enemies now to revive and export terrorism will not change the fact that we are going to achieve our national goal and are steadfast in it. We call on the countries of the coalition and the international community to participate actively with us in the efforts to combat terrorism, and to maintain and strengthen international security and peace in the region.
Ladies and Gentlemen :
We call on all Yemeni political forces, components and elites to unite their ranks, through a serious, real and deep dialogue that addresses the causes of the conflict in the north, to ensure a secure future for their regions and future generations, and we will always be by their side in what is in their interest, peace or war.
Sisters and brothers..the president and members of the National Assembly
In this situation, I can only assure you of our full support for you in all your national tasks, as we always work with you, and we will be by your side, on our firm pledge, the pledge of men to men.
Mercy for the martyrs, healing for the wounded, freedom for the prisoners and detainees, and victory for our great southern people.
Peace, mercy and blessings of God.
