Under the directives of the President Commander, Major General Aidarous bin Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council, Supreme Commander of the Southern Armed Forces, the military operation "Arrows of the East" was launched at dawn on Tuesday in Abyan Governorate, led by Brigadier Mukhtar Ali Al-Nubi, commander of the Abyan axis, and Brigadier Abdul Latif Al-Sayed, commander of the Abyan Delta Belt, in coordination with  Abyan governorate security director, Brigadier Ali Nasser Ba'azeb, and southern military leaders in Shaqra, where the military operation aimed to purify Abyan from terrorist elements, enhance security and stability, and secure the international line linking the southern governorates of Aden, Abyan, Shabwa, and Hadhramout.

 The launch of the Operation "Arrows of the East" :

 The southern forces participating in Operation Arrows of the East launched towards Shaqra in full coordination between the southern military and security forces located in Qarn al-Klasi, Shaqra and Ahwar, where the Southern Armed Forces began a wide-ranging search and pursuing the terrorist elements, starting from the city of Shaqra, ending with the “Saeed Fort” area in Khobar al-Maraqisha, and finally Ahwar district, and the combing process is still going on until this moment.

 The progress of the military operation "Arrows of the East":

 The commander of the military operation "Arrows of the East", Brigadier Al-Nubi, spoke in a joint statement to the Media Center of the Southern Armed Forces (South Shield) and Aden independent channel,  that the military operation was in full coordination and cooperation with the brothers of the southern military and security leaders in Shaqra, pointing that the campaign will also involve units from Abyan governorate security and special forces, along with other southern armed forces that participated in the operation.

 The Nubian brigadier  confirmed that Operation " Arrows of the East " will continue until the entire soil of Abyan Governorate is purified of terrorist elements, and secured it to ensure that the international line linking the capital, Aden, and the southeastern governorates is secured for travelers.

 On the other hand, the people of the city of Shaqra and the central region in Abyan governorate received the southern armed forces with a warm welcome as they passed through the city of Shaqra and areas of the district, waiting patiently for the hour of salvation from the terrorism and criminality of the terrorist elements that wreaked destruction in their cities and villages.
