On Saturday, September 3, the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council held its periodic meeting, chaired by President Aidaroos Qasim Al-Zubaidi, President of the Council.
At the beginning of the meeting, the President Commander welcomed the presence of Dr. Aidaroos Mohsen Al-Ihri, head of the Political Bureau of the Supreme Council of the Revolutionary Movement, praising the great sacrifices of the leaders of the Council throughout the stages of the southern liberation revolution, its keenness on the unity of the southern ranks, and their steadfastness on the principle and goal sought by the people of the south of liberating their land and restoring and building their southern state with its internationally recognized borders until May 21, 1990 .
During the meeting, which was attended by the Minister of State and Governor of the capital Aden, and a number of Council ministers in the Parity Government, the President-Command reiterated the welcome of the Transitional Council and its openness to all southern powers, which would strengthen the southern internal front, strengthen the southern social fabric, and contribute effectively towards achieving the ultimate goal for whom the southerners presented long convoys of martyrs, wounded, detainees, and the disappeared .
The meeting then has listened to a brief explanation from Dr. Al-Yahri about the progress of the activity of the Supreme Council of the Revolutionary Movement, its liberation approach, and its efforts to support and strengthen the southern constants, and preserve the achievements of the people of the South, in addition to the results of the meetings held by the leadership of the Council with a number of heads of commissions affiliated with the Transitional Council to coordinate efforts and joint work to unify the southern ranks .
At the end of his speech, Al-Yehri thanked the leadership of the Transitional Council represented by President Commander Aidaroos Al-Zubaidi, praising his great efforts in the achievements made within the framework of the South-South rapprochement and unification, to preserve the national achievements of the people of the South .
The meeting also has listened to the report submitted by the Decision-Making Support Center on the latest political, military, security and economic developments in the southern arena, and issues related to the issue of the people of the South, during the last half of last August, and a number of recommendations and proposals to deal with them .
The meeting then has stood before the rising popular movement witnessed by Hadhramout Valley and Al-Mahra Governorate to demand the submissive forces under the control of the Muslim Brotherhood. In this regard, the Commission affirmed its support for the legitimate demands of the people of Al-Mahra Governorate, and Hadhramout Valley and desert, and its support for the directions of the governor of Hadhramout, Mabkhout bin Madi to extend the control of the elite forces over the entire territory of the governorate and to take charge of security matters in it in a manner that preserves its security and stability, in implementation of the terms and outcomes of Riyadh agreement and consultations.
The meeting has touched on the situation in Abyan Governorate and the results achieved by The Operation Arrows of the East, praising the positive interaction of the leaders of the joint forces and their role in supporting the southern armed forces participating in the campaign, and facilitating their tasks in tracking down terrorist elements and their dens.
In another context, the meeting has reviewed the results of the meeting of the General Secretary of the Presidency of the Council, the Minister of State, Governor of the capital Aden Ahmed Hamed Lamlas, with the leadership of the Teachers Syndicate, and the content of the initiative submitted by the local authority to resume education, stressing in the context the need to deal with it positively and responsibility as the best possible solution at the present time.
At the end of the meeting, the Commission has discussed and took actions on a number of issues and topics related to the political and organizational work of the Council, and the level of implementation of the mandates approved at the previous meeting.
