The Presidency of the Transitional Council reiterate its support of the escalating mass movement in Al-Mahra and Hadhramout Valley

 The Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council held its periodic meeting, today, Saturday, September 17, headed by President Commander Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, head of the Council.
  At the beginning of the meeting, which was attended by the Minister of State, Governor of the capital, Aden, Mr. Ahmed Hamed Lamlas, and a number of council ministers in the Parity government, the Presidency reviewed the latest developments in the governorates of the south, in light of the report submitted by the Decision Making Support Center, which included the most prominent political developments,  The military, security, and economic issues that concern the people of the south, and a set of recommendations to deal with them.
  In its meeting, the Presidency also continued to stand in front of the escalating mass movement in the districts of Al-Mahra Governorate and  Hadhramout Valley regions, to demand the transfer of the northern forces present there to the fronts of confrontation with the Houthi militia in accordance with the requirements of the Riyadh Agreement, in this context, the Presidency praised the peaceful public momentum, reiterated its support for the legitimate demands of the people of Al-Mahra and Hadhramout Valley, and their inherent right to administer their governorates and secure them  with the forces of their sons.
 In another context, the Presidency saluted the great victories achieved by the heroes of the southern armed forces in the operations of Arrows of the East and the South against terrorist and extremism groups in the governorates of Abyan and Shabwa, stressing that the great sacrifices made by the heroes of our armed forces will remain a source of pride for the leadership and people of the south.
  In its meeting, the Presidency also stood before the educational situation in all governorates of the south, what the education sector suffers from due to the accumulation of corruption, and the weak observation on the education offices in the governorates. In this regard, the Presidency called on the government and their governors to take the necessary measures to correct the situation of education, foremost of which is changing the corrup leaders, intensification of supervision, field visits to schools, and reviewing the private schools' performance and orientations.
  In its meeting, the Presidency addressed the smuggling operations that take place at sea ports in the coastal strip extending from the capital Aden to Bab al-Mandab, calling on the government to quickly enable the state’s revenues institutions to extend their control over those ports and apply laws to them, to control smuggled goods and stop the smuggling of prohibited materials.
  At the end of its meeting, the Presidency stood before the continuous attacks on public places in the residential plans, stressing that the local authorities in the governorates should play their role in stopping these attacks, arresting the aggressors and referring them to the judiciary.
