President Commander Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council, Supreme Commander of the Southern Armed Forces, Vice Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, addressed an important speech to our southern people at home and abroad, on the occasion of the 59th anniversary of the glorious 14th October Revolution.

Praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds, and prayers and peace be upon His Noble Messenger, Muhammad bin Abdullah, and his family and companions

Oh, sons of our great southern people, at home and abroad 

With feelings of pride, I am pleased to extend my sincere greetings and warm congratulations to you, on the occasion of the 59th anniversary of the glorious 14th October Revolution, which launched its first blessed spark from the lofty peaks of Radfan, in 1963, to announce to the world the desire of our brave people for salvation, their yearning for their freedom and dignity, his rejection of the occupation, and the associated types of oppression and humiliation.

The eternal revolution of the fourteenth of October, and with the limited capabilities available to its leaders and fighters, was a herald and ushered in the end of the British occupation, which perched on our land for more than a century and a quarter of time, and culminated - after four years of struggle and sacrifice - with the achievement of complete independence on the thirtieth of November 1967. And the establishment of the young southern state, announcing to the whole world the building of an independent southern state that gained full membership in the United Nations and all regional and international commotions .

The October 14 Revolution was a great revolution with its goals and the sacrifices of its heroes, men and women alike, in the countryside and in the south, a revolution that was able to achieve a victory that seemed to the world impossible, due to the difference in capabilities with the occupation in terms of equipment, and to establish an independent state that won To the aspirations of the simple southern citizen, and dedicated her modest capabilities to live in freedom and dignity.

It is unfortunate that this revolution and the state it established for imbuing its leaders with national values ​​and Arab national culture was subject to conspiracies and penetration, Therefore, it was betrayed, in the name of unity. It suffered a real setback that caused damage to its achievements, and our people were subjected to the worst forms of oppression and marginalization, which made an urgent need to restore and inspire the values and spirit of the liberating October Revolution to restore the looted freedom and confiscated rights. Therefore, the sons and grandsons of the heroes of October 1963, are waging today a renewed revolution that has restored our people’s freedom, and is still making its way with strength, steadfastness and determination towards completing the goals of this revolution. When it culminated in restoring and building the independent, federal southern state with full sovereignty, on the borders of May 21, 1990, from Al-Mahra to Bab Al-Mandab, a state in which security and stability are prevailed, and all the people of the south enjoy its goodness. We commend its structure together, sensing the suffering of our people over the past decades. We are moving towards the future at a steady pace. We are inspired by sermons and lessons from the pitfalls of the past and its failures and the experiences and sufferings of the present, and we are certain that victory is the patience of an hour.

Oh, sons of our great people

The southern people and its valiant armed forces, with the unlimited generous support of the brothers in the Arab coalition led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, are still fighting today an open war with terrorist forces and organizations with extremist ambitions in our land, targeting the interests of our people. Their attacks on all axes and on various fronts, and on the other hand, terrorist organizations escalate their treacherous operations in several regions, which necessitated our honorable heroes to respond forcefully and decisively on various fronts against the Iranian-backed Houthi militia, as well as against the extremist terrorist elements of Al-Qaeda, ISIS and Ansar al-Sharia. And it is a war that will not stop unless these organizations are eradicated, their attacks on our land and the targeting of our people’s interests and their right to a decent life and a safe and peaceful life on their land .

The position of the Southern Transitional Council and the Presidential Leadership Council is clear regarding peace and stopping the war launched by the Houthi militias, a position based on the real desire for a just peace and rejection of the idea of ​​domination, arrogance and harming the interests and gains of our people.

Our battle against terrorism, its financiers and its supporters is continues, and the Arrows of the East and Arrows of the South operations have achieved important achievements in purifying and securing the governorates of Abyan and Shabwa , in accordance with the requirements and contents of the Riyadh Agreement and handing over the security and management of the two governorates to their sons.

The leadership of the Southern Transitional Council realizes that restoring and building a strong and just state in the south is linked primarily to the consolidation and strengthening of the internal fabric. Therefore, we have been keen to achieve southern rapprochement through inaugurating the Southern National Dialogue at home and abroad, and we have achieved great and tangible successes in this regard, and our hands are still and will remain outstretched for everyone without exception to meet and rapprochement without a ceiling, and without conditions, except for the ceiling of the south and the condition of preserving the interests and aspirations of its people.

Just as we are waging a military battle against the aggression of the Houthi militias and the forces collaborating with them, and against the forces of terrorism and extremism, we are also waging a political and diplomatic battle to win the cause of our people in all of these meetings, the most recent of which we held during our visit to the Saudi capital, Riyadh, we affirmed to the world our position in supporting the efforts to establish peace and stop war in accordance with a political process sponsored by the United Nations, which guarantees the south fair presence and representation, and sets a special negotiating framework for the issue of the people of the south in the negotiations to stop the war, a translation of what it approved and agreed upon All the political forces in the Riyadh consultations are under the generous sponsorship of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, recalling that any attempt to jump on the issue of the people of the south, or the absence of their presence, will not produce a solution and will not create peace. The solution is in the south and its peace, and the south is first and foremost.

Dear heroes of our armed forces,

We salute you with a special greeting worthy of your heroism and exploits that you inflict every day and through which you make great glory, and an eternal victory for your homeland and people, who reciprocate loyalty to you. As you defend the southern land from the invaders, and purify it from the evils of terrorism, congratulations to you for this glory and the position you have reached, despite the suffering you incur and the conspiracies and targeting that have not stopped, and we pledge to you that we are with you and with you, we will create the desired tomorrow and overcome all difficulties, this is our destiny This is our message and our duty towards our nation and our people.

As we celebrate the anniversary of the 14th  October Revolution, we cannot fail to salute you, but for your example of courage and sacrifice, and for advancing the ranks of the struggle for 59 years, during which the southern woman was a mother, fighter, martyr, wounded, detainee, and leader, she contributed to Revolution and development, and still plays the same great role, and we assure them that we are in the leadership of the Southern Transitional Council at present, and we are still betting on the role of southern women in making glories and building the blocks of the future, we are certain that they are one of the pillars of victory and tools for construction and advancement.

You were the pride of the nation and the source of its pride, and today you are leading its victories and taking upon yourself to defend its aspirations. Be as your country entrusted you and arm yourself with the tools of victory and construction of education, knowledge, and integrity.

May God have mercy on the heroic martyrs of the south, since its first revolution until today, and a pledge to their blood and sacrifice that we are on their path, to victory, and to achieve the full goals and aspirations of our people in restoring and building their desired state that guarantees and preserves the rights of all.
