Under the patronage of President Commander Aidarous bin Qassim Al-Zubaidi and in the presence of Ambassador Qassem Askar, Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee in the National Assembly, the transitional head of Abyan, Mr. Muhammad Ahmed Haidara Al-Shaqi, and the Deputy Governor of Abyan Sheikh Hussein Saleh Al-Junaidi and the Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board of the Governorate Transitional Council, Mr. Khaled Omar Al-Abd, Today, Saturday, October 15, the local leadership of the Transitional Council in the southern Governorate of Abyan, at Nour Hall in the Governorate capital, Zanzibar, a speech and artistic ceremony were held on the occasion of the 59th anniversary of the glorious the 14th October Revolution .
The ceremony was inaugurated with verses from the Holy Quran and then the southern national anthem, then the speech of the head of the local leadership of the Southern Transitional Council in Abyan Governorate, delivered by Mr. Muhammad Ahmed Haidara al-Shaqi, in which he conveyed the greetings of President Commander Aidarous Qassem al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council, Supreme Commander of the Southern Armed Forces, Vice Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council.
Al-Shaqi said that the political leadership represented by President Commander Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council, is keen on the spirit of tolerance and reconciliation and the spirit of southern dialogue with its national values and concepts, which we must all work to embody in word, deed and action on our land, and our independent free state. Al-Shaqi added that the south accommodates all its sons, from Al- Mahra to Bab el-Mandeb, and for the people of the south to live with pride and dignity.
Al-Shaqi stressed that Abyan was at the forefront in all historical stages and turning points, and it will remain so in the battlefields and honor fields until the restoration of the southern state in full sovereignty.
Al-Shaqi praised the patriotic spirit and reconciliation of the people of the governorate, which strengthened solidarity and national cohesion to achieve victory for the great southern national project, which is the liberation, independence and restoration of the southern state, and that Abyan is ready alongside the men of the south in the liberation of Hadhramout and Al-Mahra governorates and every inch of the lands of the south.
The rhetorical and artistic ceremony included a number of lyrical and folk dances that conveyed the folklore of Abyan, which won the audience's approval.
The ceremony was attended by members of the National Assembly, the head of the Southern Transitional Council’s coordinator at the University of Aden, Dr. Yahya al-Shuaibi, and Dr. Yeslam al-Layl Alawi, the head coordinator of Abyan University, a number of leaders of the Transitional Council in the governorate, the leadership of the Zanzibar and Khanfar transitions, representatives of the local authority, and a number of military and security leaders.
