On Thursday, in the capital, Aden, Mr. Anis Al-Sharafi, Deputy Head of the General Department of Foreign Affairs of the Southern Transitional Council, chaired the periodic meeting of the General Department of Foreign Affairs to review political developments on the national and regional arenas.

 During the meeting, which was attended by the heads of the foreign affairs departments in the capital, Aden, and through videoconferencing, Al-Sharafi reviewed the results of the visit of President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi and his accompanying delegation to the Russian capital, Moscow, and the talks he held with Russian officials.

 Al-Sharafi also briefed the audience on the results of the meeting of the General Department of Foreign Affairs with President Al-Zubaidi, and preparation for what the next stage requires by expanding the work of foreign affairs and its diplomatic activity, and presenting visions and options regarding the comprehensive political process.

 The attendees listened to briefings given by representatives of foreign affairs in a number of mandate countries, about diplomatic contacts, activities and programs they provided during the month of March. The head of  Training and Qualification Department in Foreign Affairs also gave a briefing on the training and qualification plans to be implemented to meet the needs of the administrative and political staff.
