CAC Bank Launches Green Schools Initiative in Aden

 The Cooperative and Agricultural Credit Bank (CAC Bank) launched its initiative (Green Schools), under the patronage of the Minister of State and Governor of the capital, Aden, Ahmed Hamid Al-Lamlas, at Uqba bin Nafi’ School, under the slogan “Together to enhance environmental awareness among the future generation in cooperation and coordination with the Office of Education and the Cleaning and Improvement Fund in the capital Aden. 

 Minister of State Ahmed Hamid Lamlas, along with Acting Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of CAC Bank, Mr. Hashid Al-Hamdani, planted tree seedlings in the school courtyard, marking the start of the bank’s initiative to plant trees from Uqba bin Nafi School. 

 Al-Hamdani pointed out that the CAC Bank Green Schools Initiative promotes sustainable environmental practices and aims to increase green spaces to mitigate carbon dioxide emissions, and encourage the cultivation of environmentally friendly plants that require less water and pesticides.
 He said, “Raising awareness about environmental issues and encouraging community participation in preserving the environment helps create a healthy environment that is attractive and motivating for learning, and enhances the school’s role in educating students about the importance of planting and preserving trees.” 
 He stressed, "CAC Bank is working to build partnerships with civil society organizations and the public and private sectors to support the initiative and expand the scope of its impact."
