STC Secretariat Discusses Economic Landscape Report on Southern National Arena

The General Secretariat of the Presidium of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) held its regular meeting today, Sunday, at its headquarters in the capital, Aden, headed by Mr. Mohammed Ahmed Haidara al-Shaqqi, Assistant Secretary-General of the Secretariat.

The meeting discussed a report on the economic and service landscape in the Southern national scene during September, with a focus on key issues including the pros and cons of SpaceX's Starlink satellite internet service, the rising prices of fish, the case of the laid-off military personnel and civilian employees of the South, as well as the decision to ban illegal levies on highways and the entrance of cities in governorates of the South.

The meeting reviewed the latest developments in the situation of the governorates of the South, the workflow of the local leadership executive body (LLEB), and preparations to commemorate the 61st anniversary of the October 14 Revolution, in addition to the mechanism for implementing programs and activities in a way that contributes to meeting the needs of citizens and fulfilling the aspirations of the people of the South.

The meeting touched on the weekly activity report for all departments of the Secretariat and accomplishments in their various jurisdictions over the past week, in addition to reviewing and approving the minutes of the previous meeting.
