On Sunday, Mr. Ali Abdullah Al-Kathiri, Acting President of the Southern Transitional Council and President of the National Assembly, along with Dr. Nasser Al-Khobji, Head of the Political Bureau and Head of the Negotiations Affairs Unit of the Council, visited the 14th of October Foundation for Press, Printing, and Publishing in the capital, Aden, to observe the progress of work at the institution.
During the visit, which was accompanied by Mr. Mokhtar Al-Yafi'i, Deputy Head of the National Media Authority of the South, Al-Kathiri and Al-Khobji were briefed by Mr. Mohammed Bashraheel, Chairman of the Board and Editor-in-Chief, about the work in the administrative sections of the institution, the daily publication process of the newspaper, as well as the efforts of the institution's leadership and the newspaper to recover from its previous situation. This includes updating the technical and administrative infrastructure, and reforming journalistic and editorial work, after it suffered destruction and sabotage due to the unjust war waged by the Houthi terrorist militia.
The Acting President of the Council praised the efforts of the institution's management and staff in improving its performance across all its departments, emphasizing the importance of this major national media institution in contributing to Southern journalism for over 50 years, and its significant impact on raising public awareness and providing news and media services that keep up with changes.
For his part, Mr. Mohammed Bashraheel, Chairman of the Board and Editor-in-Chief, expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Southern Transitional Council, represented by President Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, for his interest and commitment to the return of the newspaper
