Dr. Anis Luqman, Vice-Chairman of the National Assembly of the Southern Transitional Council, chaired today, Tuesday at the headquarters of the Assembly, a joint meeting that included the Expatriates Committee of the Assembly headed by Mahmoud Ali Atef, and the Head of the Expatriates Committee with Nasr Mohammad Saeed, and the Secretary-General of the Southern Communities in the United States of America.
The meeting discussed the work of the Expatriates Committee in the National Assembly and its role in alleviating the suffering of the expatriates, and the need for joint cooperation and coordination to find out what the southern communities suffer of, and the humanitarian contributions and actions they make in supporting the capital, Aden, and the governorates of the South.
For his part, Nasr Mohammed, Secretary-General of the Southern Communities, expressed his happiness with this meeting, which would clarify some points and develop solutions to them, pointing to the Southern American communities contributing to all service and humanitarian sectors, as they provided a lot of humanitarian aid that would lift the catastrophic situation of the live of the people of the south.
Nasr Mohammad stressed the willingness of the southern communities to support the capital, Aden, and the governorates of the South in the form of payments in all sectors, whether service, health, or others.
At the conclusion of the meeting, it was agreed that the work would be organized and coordinated, to advance the tasks of the work of the committees in the National Assembly and the southern communities in the United States of America, to get along and solve all outstanding problems, as well as to enhance the role of expatriates in development in general, and contribute in the development of the national economy.
