The General Department of Foreign Affairs of the Southern Transitional Council reviewed, during its meeting on Monday, in the capital, Aden, the most prominent developments in the southern arena, and the related positions on the regional and international arenas.
The meeting, chaired by Anis Al-Sharafi, Deputy Head of the General Department of Foreign Affairs, reaffirmed the demands and aspirations of the people of the South and their national cause and their right to determine their desired political future and restore their state without tutelage or interference from anyone, and not to concede or be complacent in front of the national constants of independence, restoration and building of the independent, and fully sovereign federation state of the South on the pre-May 21, 1990 borders.
The meeting called for focusing attention on the acts of repression practiced against our southern people in Hadhramout, and the terrorist attacks launched by the terrorist Houthi militia on ports and vital installations in the south, stressing the need for concerted local, regional and international efforts to confront the threat of terrorist groups and Houthi militias, whose danger is growing day by day in targeting internal, regional and international peace and security, especially after targeting vital economic facilities and threatening energy supplies, international navigation, international security and peace, and disregarding the decisions and calls of the international community.
The meeting reviewed the reports of the representatives of the Foreign Ministry on political and diplomatic efforts and activities, and the results of their contacts with political decision-making centers in the countries of representation, media centers, international organizations, research centers, studies and decision-making in major countries, and communication with southern communities abroad and supporting their activities.
The meeting stressed the need to intensify diplomatic efforts and activate political and media communication plans aimed at conveying the southern voice and strengthening the role of the Southern Transitional Council on the international stage.
The meeting also discussed a number of organizational issues and took the appropriate measures and decisions.
