The official spokesperson for the Southern Armed Forces, Major Mohammed Al-Naqib, affirmed that the South is a people and an armed force on the ground and, therefore, it is the one who has the authority to  make decisions.

Al-Naqib stated in a tweet posted on his official account on "X" platform, "No solutions will be imposed on the people of the South that do not take into account their political and national choices and their significant sacrifices towards liberation, independence, and the complete restoration of their sovereign state."

He added, "We are not a school that teaches this or that to our people. We are a people, a cause, and an objective that is irreversible. Those who fail to understand the first lesson will bear the consequences of future lessons... There can be no peace without the restoration of the Southern State."
