Mr. Ali Abdullah al-Kathiri, Acting President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Chairman of the National Assembly, chaired a meeting of the Supreme Committee for National Occasions and Celebrations today, Thursday, in the presence of a number of security and military commanders in the capital, Aden, and Lahj Governorate.



At the beginning of the meeting, Mr. Al-Kathiri welcomed the attendees and congratulated them on the seventh anniversary of the popular carte-blanche to President Al-Zubaidi on May 4, 2017, which was included in the "Aden Historic Declaration" (AHD and the founding of the STC on May 11, 2017, announcing the launch of the celebration activities for the two great occasions that have shaped the features of the future of the new South.



Al-Kathiri then listened to a presentation by Mr. Zaid al-Naqib, head of the Supreme Committee for National Occasions and Celebrations, on the full detailed plan for a number of different celebratory events at the level of the capital, Aden, and the South in general, and the diverse programs and activities.



The Acting President of the STC stressed the need for coordination and harmony between the committee and the local leadership executive bodies (LLEB) in the districts of the capital Aden and the rest of the governorates of the South, as well as the security services and military units, to ensure the success of the events and reflect the civilized image of the stability of the capital Aden and the liberated governorates of the South.
