"CAC Bank" Hosts Second Edition of the DEMODAY Event

The Cooperative and Agricultural Credit Bank "CAC Bank" sponsored the second edition of the DEMODAY event, organized by the French organization Super Nova in partnership with the Medalah Foundation, and funded by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, under the supervision of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. The event was held on Thursday afternoon at the Innovation and Creativity Incubator (Sandbox) in the capital Aden.



10 projects were presented, which were selected from 45 projects, all of which were trainees of the third and fourth camps at Sandbox.



In the opening of the event, the Deputy CEO of CAC Bank for the Supporting Operations Sector, Mr. Shakib Aliwa, spoke about the bank's sponsorship of the second edition of the DEMODAY event, saying: "We at 'CAC Bank' are honored to participate in such an event, as it is one of the most important events organized by Super Nova and Sandbox, and we at 'CAC Bank', under the leadership of the Acting Chairman of the Board and CEO, Mr. Hashed Al-Hamdani, are pioneers in supporting youth projects, as they are the foundation of the future."



He added: "Throughout the history of the Cooperative and Agricultural Credit Bank, which has extended for more than 42 years, we have supported many projects, and until 2004, with the government's orientation towards all economic reforms, we worked on restructuring the bank to bear the slogan (From the stage of agricultural success to the peak of banking excellence), in addition to bearing the slogan (Share with us the leadership), so that we work with everyone working in the field of leadership, whether youth, organizations or businessmen. That is why we participated in this event, and since (CAC Bank) is a government bank, we always contribute to supporting such projects to establish and create economic stability, because such projects create new job opportunities and help reduce poverty."



The French organization Super Nova presented three awards to the participants who won the first three places, while CAC Bank presented four awards, three of which were for the owners of the fourth, fifth, and sixth places, in the form of a MasterCard with a balance of 500,000 Yemeni riyals, while the owner of the seventh place received a MasterCard with a balance of 300,000 Yemeni riyals.



Al-Taqwa Foundation provided awards worth 100,000 Yemeni riyals to the owners of the eighth, ninth, and tenth places so that everyone would be a winner on this day. Ten of the participants presented their projects to the participants and the evaluation committee, and the results were as follows:



Seventh place: Aman Ali, owner of the Aman Tech project, the most appropriate example for solving all surveillance camera problems with a high level of professionalism and innovation. In sixth place: Anas Maaroof, owner of the LEGO BRICKS project, a laboratory for an alternative to bricks that converts plastic containers into a sustainable and amazing alternative that enhances environmental sustainability and provides high-quality building materials at a reasonable price.



In fifth place: Sami Al-Salahi, owner of the "Saknee" application project, which is a mobile phone application that facilitates the process of renting houses and apartments. In fourth place: Yaseen Mohammed, owner of the Legal Digital Platform project, which aims to provide access to all Yemeni laws and develop the legal sector.



As for the top three places:



Third place: Ensam Mohammed, owner of the Anubah project.


Second place: Ahmed Al-Sheikh, owner of the Organic Fertilizer Production project.
First place: Sally Anwar, owner of the Paper and Pen project.
