College of Media Council at the University of Aden Holds Its Regular Meeting

The College of Media Council at the University of Aden held its regular meeting to review and discuss a range of academic, administrative, and student-related matters, as well as to examine the challenges facing the educational process and work toward effective solutions.

The council meeting, held on Tuesday morning and chaired by Dr. Waheeb Mahdi Azaiban, Dean of the College, discussed several key topics, emphasizing the importance of adhering to academic standards while focusing on improving the quality of education and curriculum development to enhance graduate readiness for the job market.

The council also reviewed future plans to develop both the undergraduate and postgraduate (Master’s) programs at the college, along with a number of upcoming events and student activities aimed at enriching extracurricular engagement and promoting student excellence.

In addition, the council discussed the college’s aspirations to strengthen partnerships with various media institutions and companies to provide students with exceptional training opportunities and practical experience for their graduation projects. Emphasis was placed on supporting students in selecting graduation topics aligned with community needs to enhance their practical skills and equip them with the knowledge required by the labor market.

The meeting also covered various additional topics, proposals, and ideas to enhance the college’s role in society. The council approved the minutes of the previous session and emphasized the importance of implementing the recommendations, taking into account all observations raised.

Following the meeting, the Dean and Vice Deans conducted an inspection tour of the classrooms to assess the progress of the second semester. They confirmed that the academic process is proceeding regularly and smoothly across all departments in accordance with the university calendar.
