Al-Dhale’a – His Excellency President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Vice Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), attended today, Monday, the massive mass rally held in Al-Dhale’a Governorate in commemoration of the 62nd anniversary of the Glorious October 14 Revolution.
At the massive event, President Al-Zubaidi delivered a key public address, commencing with greetings to the people of the South and its free people both at home and abroad, and reaffirmed that the October 14 Revolution has been and will forever remain a beacon of struggle and a wellspring of inspiration for all free people, as it was a historic milestone that embodied national consciousness and unwavering commitment to freedom and sovereignty.
President Al-Zubaidi added, "From here, from Al-Dhale’a, the cradle of the revolution and the forge of great men, we reaffirm our pledge to our martyrs, wounded, and great people that we are steadfastly proceeding on the march to restore and build the independent federal state of the South, based on the foundations of freedom, justice, and equal citizenship, with a sterling will."
The President further stated in his speech that "Al-Dhale’a Governorate shall endure as a symbol of struggle and an icon of Southern heroism, upon whose solid rock the illusions of invaders have been shattered." He indicated that the October Revolution was not a transient political event but rather a state of profound national consciousness and belief in the just cause of the people of the South.
President Al-Zubaidi touched upon the course of the Southern National Dialogue, clarifying that it constituted a pivotal station in the journey of national struggle, culminating in the ratification of the Southern National Charter, which established a new era of Southern cohesiveness and state-building on solid foundations of justice and equal citizenship.
In his speech, President Al-Zubaidi reiterated the STC's unwavering commitment to championing the cause of the people of the South and an expression of their aspirations for independence, development, and stability, and emphasized adherence to the right of the South to restore its independent state in accordance with the will and free choices of the people of the South.
President Al-Zubaidi also directed a message to the partners in the battle to counter the terrorist Houthi project, affirming that the South has been, and will continue to be, the spearhead in confronting this Iranian-backed project, and that the Transitional Council would remain an active partner in efforts to combat terrorism and secure international maritime routes, in coordination with brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
In the context of his speech, President Al-Zubaidi expressed his profound gratitude for the brothers in Saudi Arabia and the UAE for their sincere support to the people of the South, affirming that the Southern Transitional Council will remain a responsible strategic partner in advancing peace and stability in the region.
President Al-Zubaidi paid tribute to the heroes of the Southern Armed Forces and security services, honoring their immense sacrifices and steadfastness in defending the South, its dignity, and its identity, and reaffirmed that their sacrifices will remain beacons guiding future generations until complete victory is achieved and the flag of the South is raised high.
The President also praised the struggling and national role of women of the South and their status in the journey of struggle and building, as well as the spirit of youth, whom he described as the "torch of the revolution, the soul of hope, and the determination of the future." He affirmed that the Council's true investment is in the youth as the fundamental pillar for building the envisioned state of the South.
President Al-Zubaidi concluded his speech by renewing the pledge to the ultimate sacrifices of the blessed martyrs, stating, "We will never ever deviate from our path, nor shall we betray the sacrifices of our blessed martyrs. Victory is near, Allah willing, and independence is inevitably coming with the help and grace of Allah and through the sterling will and determination of the free people of the South."
