Mr. Ali Abdullah Al-Kathiri, Acting President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Chairman of the National Assembly, was briefed on the latest service and security conditions in Abyan Governorate during his meeting today, Tuesday, with Mr. Hassan Ghaithan Al-Kazmi, Head of the Local Leadership Executive Body (LLEB) of the STC in the Governorate.


Mr. Al-Kathiri listened to a comprehensive explanation from Mr. Al-Kazmi about the progress of the work of the LLEB in Abyan and its districts, as well as the activities that have been implemented during the past period and the programs and plans for the second half of the current year 2024.


Al-Kathiri has stressed the urgent need to intensify efforts within the executive bodies of the STC in Abyan and to coordinate work with the local authorities in the governorate and its districts in light of a sensitive situation prevailing in the South in general and Abyan in particular. The heightened urgency stems from the hostile campaigns orchestrated by adversarial forces aimed at tearing apart the social fabric of the South and its national cohesiveness.


At the end, the Acting President of the STC reiterated the STC's unwavering commitment, under the leadership of President Aidarus al-Zubaidi, to supporting the efforts of the STC's local leadership and the local authority in Abyan Governorate, which aims to enhance the overall situation in the governorate and eliminate any obstacles that hinder their progress.
