The Executive Board of the Southern Transitional Council held its first regular meeting for the month of December, in Khanfar district, Abyan governorate, this morning, headed by Colonel Hussein Thabet and his deputy, Saleh Sanad Al-Fadhli.
At the beginning of the meeting, the interim president of Khanfar, Colonel Hussein Thabet, welcomed the members of the executive body, thanking them for their commitment to the meeting date, and congratulating the efforts of the political leadership in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and presenting the southern file to the international community.
He called on the members of the executive body, to sense responsibility, to complete the reports on time and to prepare quarterly and annual plans in preparation for the next year.
Colonel Hussein Thabet stressed the need to make more efforts and progress in work and activate the work of the departments in the council, and work among the masses to touch their concerns, and transfer them to the leadership of the council for consideration, to submit it to the local leadership in the governorate, to take appropriate measures regarding it.
Colonel Hussein Thabet thanked the people of the Khanfar district in particular and Abyan in general, for their active participation in the celebration of the 54th anniversary of the 30th National Independence Day, which was held in the city of Zanzibar, the capital of Abyan governorate.
At the meeting, the previous minutes were read and approved, taking into account the comments received. The meeting also reviewed the activities and participations of the human and political rights departments during the month of November, and they were approved taking into account the comments received.
The meeting discussed preparing plans, completing reports on time and archiving them. The meeting also touched on the issue of identity extraction in the areas of the Khanfar district for the displaced from the Yemeni Arab Republic, and stressed the need to prevent these behaviors and give directions to the leaders of the local committees in the centers to stop this phenomenon by possible means while alerting the responsible authorities Not to issue identities to Yemeni Arab refugees, because of its profound impact on changing the demographics of the south.
The meeting came out with a set of proposals and recommendations to enhance the presence of the Council's activity and its centers among the masses.
