Mr. Mohamed Ahmed Al-Shaqi, Transitional Executive Chairman of Abyan, discussed this morning in the capital, Zanjabar, workers' dues and job settlements, annual bonuses, and bonuses for educational qualifications with the leadership of the General Federation of Southern Trade Unions in the governorate.
The meeting, which was attended by the head of the union in the governorate, Mr. Salem Awad Ali, his deputy, Muhammad Al-Hajj, and the Secretary-General, Saleh Makish Musabin, touched on the importance of disbursing all dues, which are legitimate personal rights in accordance with the law.
The meeting indicated that the Ministry of Finance did not approve the budgets that are submitted by the utilities, including all legally acquired rights, and therefore lost workers' rights, which led to their accumulation to this day.
The leadership of the General Federation of Southern Trade Unions in the governorate pointed out that it has submitted its cases to the local authority and the Finance Office regarding settlements and allowances, for those who have reached the two-term limit since 2013, commentators, and settlements of new academic qualifications for graduates.
And demanded the restoration of deductions for employees with excessive service, as well as not to refer any employee to insurances and pensions only after ensuring the readiness of the Authority to receive retirement cases from all facilities.
For his part, Mr. Mohammed Al-Shaqi emphasized overcoming all difficulties and providing assistance to guarantee the rights of workers in all government institutions and facilities.
He stressed the importance of joint coordination in enhancing the role of unions in the governorate.
The meeting was attended by the Director of the Public Administration of the Transitional Abyan, Mr. Omar Al-Harash, the advisor to the Chairman of the Authority, Mr. Doan Mansour, Mr. Khaled Al-Saidi, the Chairman of the Control and Inspection Committee of the Federation, Mr. Saleh Gobel Abdullah, the Financial Officer in the Federation branch, and Mr. Fikri Muqaffa, the Deputy Director of Public Administration.
