President Commander Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, head of the Southern Transitional Council, the Supreme Commander of the Southern Armed Forces, confirmed today, Monday, that the liberation operations carried out by the Giants forces are part of Operation Decisive Storm, indicating that the southern forces are ready to help liberate Sanaa from the Houthi militia allied with the Brotherhood.
President Al-Zubaidi added, in an interview with "Sky News Arabia": "Recently, the fronts have been indirectly handed over to terrorist organizations... and there is coordination between the Houthi militia and the Brotherhood."
He also noted that the reason for not implementing the "Riyadh Agreement" is "the Brotherhood's participation in the government." He added, "We did not want to enter a government in which the Brotherhood would participate. Our participation in the government was to satisfy the brothers' desire for an alliance."
He continued, "What is happening in Yemen is a continuation of the Decisive Storm led by the coalition, and we are facing an Arab project to defeat Iran's arm in Yemen."
The Commander-in-Chief explained that "the Giants' forces are pure southern forces established to fight the Houthis," noting that "they were distinguished by their superior ability to resolve battles," especially since "3 districts were completely liberated from the Houthi militia."
And he added, "Shabwa is a rich governorate, which is in the south and is targeted by the Brotherhood." As for Bayhan, the head of the Southern Transitional Council made it clear that what will determine this is the Arab alliance.
He said, "We are ready at any time to help our brothers in the north to defeat the Houthi militia."

President Al-Zubaidi stressed that "the current battle is to secure the governorates of the south," explaining that "the governorates bordering the south are our strategic depth."
He pointed out that "the sons of the governorates bordering the south are the ones who liberate Sanaa from the Houthi militia," and stressed that "the giants' brigades are all from the south."
He added, "The Giants Brigades have achieved great successes on the West Coast. We lost a large group of our youth, but the liberation of Shabwa is worth the sacrifice."
President Al-Zubaidi explained that "the southern resistance is the only force that participated in the liberation of Shabwa," adding, "We hear that there are other forces, but we have not seen them on the ground."
He also pointed out that "the brigades of the giants stipulated that they resolve the battle on their own," stressing that "the people of Shabwa Governorate from the southern resistance are the basis for victory today."
"An effective partnership with the coalition"
President Al-Zubaidi continued: "We are an active partner of the Arab coalition, and we are ready for any orders... and the battles on the ground have proven that."
He continued, "Achieving all the goals of the coalition is a primary goal for us, and we will continue for it," stressing that "the Yemeni army as an institution ended after the Houthi militia entered Sanaa."
The Commander-in-Chief pointed out that "after the liberation of the southern provinces, the challenge of al-Qaeda and ISIS appeared to us," stressing that the formation of the Security Belt Forces "was the starting point for eliminating terrorism."
And he added, "The challenge of terrorism is still present in some governorates, especially Al-Bayda and Shabwa."
President Al-Zubaidi touched on the suffering experienced by the people of Hadhramaut, saying: "The suffering of the people of Hadhramaut was a major cause of the popular uprising. They were excluded from the responsibility of managing their country's affairs, and starvation was systematically practiced on them."
Economic Council
President Al-Zubaidi called for the formation of an "economic council" to get out of the current crisis, saying: "We have large resources whose revenues do not reach the Central Bank. There is a need to agree on an economic committee under the supervision of the Arab coalition."
He stressed that "the way the economic file is currently managed in Yemen will contribute to the collapse."
Houthi hacking
President Al-Zubaidi touched on the piracy practiced by the Houthi militia against ships, saying: "We spoke with the international community about the Houthi piracy of ships. The Houthi has become dependent on piracy as a financial resource to continue the war."
He continued, "The Southern Transitional Council needs coast guard forces, and we have informed the coalition of this, as these forces are important to curb clandestine migration and piracy."
He also pointed out that "Iran is planning to control the Bab al-Mandab strait, and the Houthis are a tool for that."
And he added, "We will continue the struggle until the restoration of the state and its capital, Aden, and our goal is to consolidate the Arab project in the region in cooperation with the coalition."
